About Our Firm
The firm was formed in 2005 by combining the expertise of two firms practicing as The Law Firm of Thomas A. Ford, Jr., and James T. Watts, Attorney at Law. Ford & Watts, PLLC, serves clients in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex from its principal office in Mesquite, Texas and from its satellite office in Plano, Texas where clients are served by appointment. The practice focuses on the general areas of Asset Protection, Estate Planning including Wills and Trusts, Elder Law Medicaid Planning, Probate and Estate Administration, Planning for Disabilities, and Real Estate Law. We offer high quality services as well as personal attention. Our role as counselors at law is to assist you in planning and implementing your legacy as well as assisting in crisis situations such as facilitating immediate eligibility for Medicaid nursing home assistance.
You have worked all your life to accumulate personal assets; and we want to help you pass on your legacy to the people and/or institutions of your choice rather than having your hard-earned assets consumed by estate taxes, long term care expenses, and unnecessary legal costs. The individuals and families we serve are as complex and varied as the legal issues involved in Asset Protection, Estate Planning, Elder Law Planning, and Real Estate Law. Our practice is multi-dimensional and geared in a sensitive manner to the achievement of a variety of objectives, such as wealth preservation and asset protection; avoidance of unnecessary legal expense; elimination or reduction of estate and income taxes; protection against the potential cost of long term care; and the management of assets in the event of illness or incapacity.
We believe that our current and future success is founded on our commitment to our clients and our ability to communicate in a caring and responsive manner. We promise to listen to you with courtesy and respect.
